Bootstrap
All three of these sites were for learning Bootstrap. In Panel One it was very basic Bootstrap (using carousel, editing a menu bar, and putting things into columns). I had some difficulties resizing photos for the carousel but eventually figured it out. Panel Two was quite different from panel one. We started using pre-made themes which made building a website much quicker. Though I could not edit the css for this panel. With the help of ctrl+f I was able to find what I needed to edit. Lastly, we have Panel Three, the final form of project two. This was the most difficult because I had to search through 11,000 lines of css to change the colors and fonts of the site. Though I also used ctrl+f and was able to find everything I needed. My favorite part about this panel is that if you click the artists logos it will take you to their website! Overall, one of my favorite projects.
WordPress
For this project, the News Site was probably my favorite to work on. I am happy with how the website came out. Some difficulties with this website was fixing up the posts. Also, when I changed the theme, the css I had transferred over did not work with the new theme so I had to alter that accordingly. I think my favorite part of the website was creating the review part. Also just for clarification: both the News and Reviews have content in them.
The Commerce Site was a bit more difficult to set up. There are a little more steps when it comes to posting products. Also, I had a difficult time adding in the reviews for the products which are what I am most proud of. Other than that, everything else was a breeze. Making the commerce site was enjoyable for me as well. I love how it turned out in the end.
Final Project
For my Final Project I had the opportunity to create an online art portfolio for my sister. This helped me improve my client communication skills as well as bring out my creative side. Probably the most difficult part of the project was trying to edit the CSS of the text and buttons, but I was able to overcome it by myself which means I have improved. Three things that I am proud of are the loading screen, the contact page, and the menu for her artwork. This project was my top favorite to work on because it allowed me to learn more about WordPress plugins while helping my sister out.
